this is embarrassing...
The Story:
Needed to get boat out of drive into lake for spring. Took to put in in the neighborhood and got boat started but died and battery was dead. Took battery home to charge it and brought back after dark. Forgot flashlight and though i could hook up right in dark. I overestimated my night vision and hooked battery backwards... now nothing works.
I have a 2003 stingray w a 5.7 mercruiser, I have a battery switch for 2 batteries. Nothing on boat now works.
I have:
-checked battery w voltemeter and reads 12volts.
-attempted to reset fuse on the engine block but no mvement
-checked voltage to the in and out at that same fuse and there is no voltage to it.
have I:
-fried the battery switch?
- missed another inline fuse somewhere?
-done something else?
please advice, but be gentle,,,
