I have a pursuit twin engine boat with two 135hp v6 mercury's, the problem is the right engine. It<br />start's fine and rev's up to 5200 rpm with good response in nuetral, but when you put it in gear it bogs down, can't get over 2000 rpm. It's not overheating or anything like that just won't get up and go, it perform's normal in reverse. Has new plugs, new fuel filter's. left engine perform's well from the same fuel tank as the right one. Any ideas?

Re: no power in gear

I have had the same problem with a smaller 85 hp engine. If you have good spark to all cylinders then the problem is you are down a cylinder or two. Check compression in each cylinder. You may find that one or more has very little or none at all
