Hello folks, I have a 1988 Nordic Crestliner Phantom 180 which we inherited from my wife's parents. It only had 33 hrs on her. I have had to trouble shoot a few things and would like some info on the dash. I have no power to the dash. The three fuses in the fuse block appear sound. Is there a main fuse to the dash? If so where. I tried the search function on the thread but couldn't find an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

Welcome to iboats!

By "no power to the dash", are you referring to the gauges (tied into the motor's electrical system via the ignition switch) or to the switches for various devices (main fuse or circuit breaker near the battery in most boats)?

Re: No power to dash

At the battery you will see a red and black #8 or #10 pair of wires that serve as the feed to the fuse panel. The red wire in that pair should have a fuse or circuit breaker at the battery. If the gauges do not work, then there is a wiring issue between the "A" terminal on the ignition switch and the gauges or a ground issue with the gauges. So as NYBo pointed out, what do you mean by no power to the dash. It does make a difference what part of the dash you are talking about.

Thanks so much. After bird dogging a little more found the ground at battery#1 to be the culprit. Cleaned real well and reseated the ground and all is well.
