No Power to Solenoid in a 75' Merc 1150

Last year the Outboard ran just fine other it bogging down in full throttle. So we decided to replace the wiring harness, spark plugs and Solenoid. We replaced all those and now we are getting no power. We have tried with multiple charged batteries and still nothing.

Can someone please give me some advice on what could be wrong? There is a fishing trip planned in about a month that I would love to have my boat back up and running for.

Double check that the new harness and solenoid are using the same color wires, in the same places.

Next check the fit of the pins connecting the motor harness to the boat harness, a slightly 'loose' pin can be carefully enlarged by sliding an exacto- knife blade down the 'slit' in the pin.

WARNING: DISCONNECT ALL BATTERIES BEFORE using the exacto-knife, it is way to easy to short across the pins!

Fix your fuel supply before you melt a piston.

well silly me come to find out all it was was a slight fray on the positive cable just off the battery so i cut it off put a new on one and we are in buisness and as far as the fuel issue not sure if i have corrected it or not i got her running today to find out the impeller went bad. so i gotta pick up one of those this weekend. also i added seafoam to my fuel and pulled all three carbs and cleaned em up real good she seemed fine while she was running but it was quick due to it not pumping water so i shut er down as soon as i saw no water.
