Out of nowhere i'm getting no power to the trim motor. It doesn't even make the click sound so I'm thinking the switch might have gone bad. I'll test the motor when I get home from class and make sure that it's still working(just bought it this season). Oh yeah and the motor is a 1988 85 horse Force. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be? Is there any way to test the switch to see if thats the problem?

Hi saltymike-I had a similar problem that was a loose spade connector at my fuse panel under the dash. Just something else to check--try the easy stuff first. Regards, Mike

pull that little battery out of your riding lawn mower and take it over to your boat. connect your trim pump directly to the battery. see if your systems works that way. if it does then it is most probably a relay, then maybe a tripped circuit breaker (inside engine cowling kind of under and to side of starter), or possibly a loose wire feeding the switch, or maybe a bad switch.

since you're not getting a click in either direction my guess would be the circuit breaker.
