No power trim - how to pull motor up -Mercury 1100 SS Thunderbolt

I have an old heavy out board Mercury 1100 SS thunderbolt- boat has no power trim - I can lower the motor from in the boat - pull it up - drop the latch that keep it up and ease it down - but I can’t figure out how to pull it back out of the water without pulling the trim pin and flipping back up.

there has to be a way - any help would be appreciated -

Shift to Forward. It should tilt freely

How many times i have gone to tilt a motor only to have to run back jumping over dogs kids lifejackets to put it in forwards so i can tilt the motor!!! Lol
