no power under load

thanks for all the responses to johnson without power found a few things to work on fuel vent and so forth.now under a load is when i lose power with the boat out of the water and muffs on i get good idel rpms at wot are good but not under a load. i am cleaning out the carbs tonight and should be ready to go on the water sat. can anyone think of anything elce to check? again thanks to everyone for your help this site is great....

check timer base form sticking next to flywheel. as you open throttle up ,the timer also has to advance timing. no advance means no guts.<br />javsam
