Carbs. Pull them off, soak them, blow them out with compressed air and put kits in them. Re-install and do a link and synch. High speed circuit is clogged in one or all.

If I got some gumout and ran it through the fuel
system do you think that wiil improve power until the end of the season. Will that damage any parts?

Dan - I don't think that the gum out, by itself, will harm anything _---_I also doubt that it will do any good. Continued running without solving the problem may hurt the engine though. 2 cycle engines need clean fuel in metered quantities to run. You can burn a piston if the mixture is too lean and coke the rings if it is too rich. Cricket has the solution and it is not that big a deal.

You will have to remove carburators from intake manifold.

Disasemble carbs and clean with engine tuner and be sure to remove welch plugs.

Use sharp tiped punch or even a nail will work. Just pierce and pry out. Dont try to drive punch very deep, Or you could damage carb.

Blow all passages clear with compressed air. Re assembele useing new needle and seats and double check float setting.

And install new welch plug useing a small amount of gasket sealer around outside edge. Set in place with flat tiped punch of about 1/4 dia. Not a hard blow like driveing nails. But sharp quick rap.

Reinstall carbs to intake manifold useing new gaskets.

This may sound complicated to do, But its not at all difficult.

Good luck!
