No power

I have a 2006 volvo penta 4.3 GXI. Sometimes when I turn the ignition switch on to power up the fuel pump and prepare to start the engine it is if my battery is dead. The alarms do not activate nor does the fuel pump energize. When this occurs I can go to the engine compartment and start moving wires and it will start working again. I can't tell for sure which bundle of wires is the culprit but there is a fuse box on the top toward the back and a bundle of wires come out if it going downward then it tee's going left and right. Anyone have any idea if the bundle going to the fuse box would be more likely or the one going left or right? It is in an area you can't hardly get too. Are there any connectors in the bundles of wire. or would it be more likely a connection in the fuse box. Nothing appears to be damaged that I can see. Sorry for the long post.

Re: No power

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... I'd start at the battery terminals(both sides, 'n both ends of each cable), 'n work yer way along the system,...

It's probably only 1 corroded wirin' end, but if ya clean 'em All,...
Yer bound to find the Right one,...

Re: No power

Would there be connectors in the wiring harness or just at the termination points such as the little fuse box mounted to the engine? I don't want to cut the protective covering from the wiring harness if connectors aren't tipically in the harness.
