Hello everyone,<br /><br />I am new to this thread. I just purchased a 1998 Playcraft pontoon with a 50 hp Mercury outboard. As I am used to my Yamaha Ls2000 jetboat I am inexperienced with the shifting of an outboard. My problem is when I try to shift it into reverse it is actually going forward, and when I shift it to forward it goes forward. Do I maybe have a broken shifter cable?
