I have a Johnson 90 1993. I was installing a depth finder and had to losen up the area where the controls are. I in no way touched any of the cables in there or any wiring other then to run my own wiring for the depth finder through there just like the old one I removed. I put everything back together and now the control lever won't go into reverse and is real hard to get into forward. I have the battery disconnected so would this make a difference? I took the rails apart again to see if anything is pinched but both control cables aren't stuck anywhere. Could it be sticking on the motor end? I looked but don't want to disconnect anything back there. Thanks

Re: No reverse

Thanks for the reply. I took it all apart again and put it back in where it came from, hooked up the battery and it worked. Thanks
