No spark after magneto rebuild

Hey all I've got a problem that I can't quite figure out never ran into this before my 69 9.5 I removed the magneto, new wires new coils new points new condensers and I have no spark whatsoever on either plug taking it back off went through it again still nothing I'm stumped, never had this problem before Ivory built three or four magnetos never had a problem

points point points..... must be super clean. burnish new points wash with carb cleaner and blow dry .
disconnect the kill wires to the front push switch in case they are shorted


boot plugs to frame must be 4-8 kohms tuck coil wires away from the shaft

What do you mean by tucking wires away from the shaft? And frame meaning what?

the primary coil wire to the points will sometimes stick out from under the coil and rub on the rotating crankshaft and eventually ground the wire killing the sparks.


engine frame meaning the engine ph.

boot ohms to engine block must be 4-8kohms approx. depending on coil manufacturer. Some chineese coils seem in the high end like 8-9kohms and lots of folks dont like them and will stick to OEM coils $$$$.
