no spark Johnson 1954 25hp

the original problem is I only Had spark on one cyl.<br />I just replaced both coils,points,plugs and condencers.<br />not even a bit of spark from either Cyl. :confused: <br />Do the Coils Have a certain Clearance between coils and flywheel.<br />Can anyone tell me what the problem could be!<br />It ran Fine when I put it up last fall.<br />I would appreciate any help!

Hi bubbahpw..<br /><br />Yes there is a certain clearance between the flywheel magnets and the coils. <br /><br />I'll try to explain this as best I can.<br /><br />Notice the "posts" the coils set on. There is a slight champer at the top. Align the edge of the coils to the edge of the champers and this should give the proper clearance for the coils.<br />Boy...I sure hope I explained that right!

Thank you for the reply.<br />I noticed the post and have them flush.<br />i still have no spark.looking at them I figured they went that way.but was not sure.<br />is the kill switch the one wire attached to one set of points.I have taken the wire off,same thing.<br />I would look at a book If I could.<br />Maybe I will get one when I go back to work.<br />Appreciate the thought!!
