I have twin 1993 Crusader 350XL's that I just had rebuilt. No starting issues until last week I tried to turn over the port side and it wouldn't start. The starter motor will engage and the engine will turn but there is not spark. The starboard side starts with no problems so I have been swapping parts back and forth to check to see if they are the culprit. I swapped the ignition switch, circuit breaker and coil and they all work fine when switched to the starboard side. Also, I can jump it by taking one wire off the circuit breaker, turning the key over and touching the wire to the connection I had just taken it off of. If it is connected, there is no spark. But if I take it off and touch it, I can see a spark and it will start. Also, when I jump and it starts, I can turn it off and it will start up again when using the ignition switch (key). I am at a loss here. You would think it was the ignition switch or the circuit breaker next to it but they work fine when I put them on the starboard side. Any ideas?
