Joe, First you need a manual.NAPA has a manual by<br />Seloc that covers all models 62-84.Also there is a Clymer manual for 3.5 to 140 hp. 66-84.In the mean time disconnect the kill switch circuit and try for spark.NAPA also has some Ignition parts for your motor Including an electronic conversion<br />for motors with out a charging circuit.<br /> Depending on age your motor may be a simple mag<br />setup with 2 sets of points under the flywheel.<br /> There may be inspection ports in the top of the <br />flywheel.
