we have a 1969 johnson out board v 115 there is no spark and no power going to the coil we replaced the coil and still nothing any suggestions?
You really shouldn't mess with it without a factory service manual because you can cause some really expensive destruction. However, you probably will anyway, so the first thing you should do is bypass the ignition safety circuit and see if you have spark then. At the terminal strip, disconnect the purple with black wire coming from the pulse pack and reconnect it to one of the screws with the purple wires. If you have spark now, you know the pulse pack and coil are Ok. The alternator turns the safety circuit on, so that is where you head if you find that is the problem.
