No spark

i am new so here it is i have a 1965 johnson sea horse 60hp, and i only have spark on cylinders 2,4<br />what could be wrong, i have cleaned the distributor cap and reluctor, i can not figure it out!<br /><br />thanks Rider

Do you have a manual? It should give you troubleshooting procedures.

no i received the boat from my grandfather and i am restoring it!<br />Does anyone have a manual for it that might help me out!

Rider,If you can find the model number of your outboard you can get a factory manual at several locations.Here's one. manual<br /><br />You can also order a service manual at the bottom of this page.I have no idea whether it will cover the specific troubleshooting info you seek.
