no start

I have 1985 50 hp 507x5a I have let boat sit for 2 weeks and try starting it today and barley stated and died. Repalce battery and retired statring boat now it will not start. Checked spark good, fuel up to carb, tried spraying gas in carb still no start. Iam thinking bad fuel or bad plugs. or i flooded the motor. If any one has any ideas please let me know?

Since you were cranking the motor over with a low battery, chances are you either flooded it and or fouled the plugs. Clean/replace the plugs and have another go at it with the fresh battery.

thanks for the info put new plugs in and staterd right up had on water just a couple of issues but ran great.
