No throttle in reverse

Ido not have any throtle in reverse its a78 140 johnson any ideas never adjusted cabels before. thanks for any help!

Have someone slowly move the control arm forward from neutral while you watch the throttle cable at the engine. The throttle should begin to engage and move at about 30 degrees from the perpendicular. In the opposite direction or reverse, the throttle should begin to engage at about 30 degrees from the perpendicular.

If this is not happening, get back here and we will tell you how to adjust it.
