no top end on 1969 25 johnson

My engine runs great but it wont rap up to what it should, it seams like its running about half power of what it should. Does any one have any ideas on this problem?

Does it improve if you keep squeezing the primer ball? Is it firing on both cylinders? pull a plug wire and short it to ground with a jumper lead. Does it affect power? Try the other cylinder.....this will tell you if both cylinders are contributing. If they are, it may be time for a carb clean...
