No trim tab??

I've got an '04 Stingray and a friend of mine who knows a lot about boats pointed out that the foot of my 4.3 has no trim tab on it. A painted plate is there, but the "tab" portion is absent. I thought all boats needed this... do they not?

You probably have Power Steering,........... So it's unnecessary......

If you needed it you'd know it. Turn the wheel loose and do a quick turn? Have to fight the wheel to stay on course?

I bought a new Tahoe Q4 and questioned the lack of a trim tab. As Bond-o says if you have power steering you don't need one.
