Noise from Lower Unit

I have a 97 130Hp Johnson. Lately there seems to be a humming or whistling noise coming from the lower unit. The noise comes and goes, but when it is present, it is present in gear and in neutral. Does anyone know what it could be? I was thinking it might be my bearings? Any thoughts would help. I will be taking it apart this weekend.

I couldn't get to removing the lower unit on Saturday, but I will be doing it this morning. Does anyone have any thoughts of what I should be looking for?
