I have a 90 starcraft w/ alpha drive, I 'm noticing a slight noise from outdrive kinda like the noise you would hear from a bad wheel bearing in a car,the noise intensifies when in a sharp turn, the gimbal & u-joints were replaced in aug-01, could dry u- joints create this noise ? I would appreciate any help.

Yes You should remove your outdrive yearly and grease the u joints at that time you should do an engine alignment. The gimble bearing is greased from the outside on the starboard side on the transom.
