Re: Noise level

Hi,<br />Probably a reinsulation of motor room can help lower the souundlevel. 3M Thinsulate (Metallized film) is one alternative.

Re: Noise level

I run a 350 chevy on my OMC. I have had the same problem your speaking of. The boat used to have a 305. I removed the motor cover an all of the old insulation. I re-insulated it using regular builders foam insulation with the foil exterior, a silcone adhesive to secure the pieces, aluminum foil tape at the seams. The installation turned out great but the noise level did not subside as much as I had hoped. I think it's just something i have to accept. My boat it 34 years old but in great shape so I'll live with it.
