I got this 1969 33 hp Evinrude in a property cleanup earlier this summer. It wasn't locked up and has even 124 psi in both cylinders. Rotating the flywheel produced no grinding or clunking noisis from within so I decided to get up and running. I remove the powerhead, cleaned it up and gave it some paint. I replaced the powerhead gaskets, resealed the lower unit, installed pump impeller, rebuilt the magneto with new points and condensers and installed a electric choke carb. It started right up in my test tank and idles well at the initial high and low settings. But its noisy. Rattle is the best way to describe. None of my other 1950's OMC's rattle like this thing. I posted a link for a video of it on youtube. Please give it a listen and let me know your impressions.

Thanks

Need to do a simple bearing worn out or missing bearing test.
Thanks
Before I began, I brought both pistons to tdc and backed them down about an inch or twr turning the flywheel clockwise then pushed against the piston with a wood dowel. No movement or sign of slack on either. If there is another test I will try that.
