Hello. I have an older(1973) fiberglass boat that has a neat non slid deck. It's almost like blobs of paint but it's much harder like a resin substance. I'll be doing some repair work and where I glass it in would like to spray it back down. It's really works well and keeps the glare down. I've tried tons of searching but found nothing so far. Only thing I got was it looked like the stuff on the old swimming pool liners.
thanks. I'd like to know either what tools i need to replicate this and or what material or just a general idea what they did.

Looks like the texture coat on the two part Polyurethane enamel (Polane T) we used to paint our equipment with.

Once cured, it would withstand beating it with a hammer.

Drop gun pressure way down and open up the nozzle.

I'll have to play around with that. I have a HPLV gun with a 1.4 mm tip. Would that work or do I need to use a regular canister sprayer? And yes, stuff is super tough

Looks like zolatone

Not sure when splatter painting the inside of a boat quit being the go to for boat builders, but was used quite a lot in the 50s & 60s...

I looked at zolatone. Not sure if the pictures just were not giving it justice, but seems kinda different then that I have. Seems more flat and not as ridged. May being it's about technique

It's definitely Zolatone. It is all about technique.
One piece of advice if you decide to use it. DO NOT SHAKE OR STIR VIGOROUSLY!! It will break the little balls of the contrasting colors. Use a large tip at low pressure.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this but where do you buy this stuff. I can hardly seem to find anything on the internet besides a few sellers but all they have are a few color options and not what I need

The only website I found is zolatone interior. And I've contacted the company. Yet to hear back but seems like they dont sell the product I want. Not sure if it's a different company or just a different branch
