Hello i have a 1971 1350 and am wanting to know what is normal for water temp and pressure. The water pump is new and pee stream looks normal. What i have for pressure now is (idle gauge shows near 0psi and at 4-5k gauge shows 12psi). For temp i used a meat thermometer lake water temp was 67F and water coming out of pee hole measured 83F. I used a water bottle to catch the water coming out of the pee hole to measure the temp. Thank you for any help.

Sounds normal to me! 12 psi at speed is a darn good impeller and pump body/plate! Since the mighty 1350 does not have a thermostat, the temperature it runs at is gonna be mostly dependent on how hard you run it, and the temperature of the body of water it's running in.

Great old motor, feed it good gas & oil and keep track of that cooling system, and she'll serve you well!
