I'll try to make a long story short....
I have a 93 Force 150....She'll start up fine..run fine...we'll go anchor and because of this issue, I'll shut off the batteries. The issue is after sitting for an extended amount of time in the water the motor will be extremely hard to start...she turns over very slowly and (thank god) it will eventually start. As we are sitting, I shut the batteries off (i have 2 newer batteries). So I dont understand why as she's anchored she acts like the batteries become discharged -or- something else is going on within the engine to affect the way that it turns over...very slow.

Please ask any questions..I would love to know that I can anchor with confidence..and even listen to some music or leave the marker lights on while anchored in the dark!

Any ideas?

Thanks!!

Check for loose or dirty connections at the battery and the battery switch box.
May need to perform a test to see if your motor is charging the batteries properly.
Could be running the batteries down and making it hard to start.
Also check the connections at the solenoid.
Could also have a defective starter.

Do a compression/spark test.
That OK? Clean The connections and load test the battery.
Clean the starter.J
