I just changeed the fuel filter on my 1984 140 merc. This has the type on top of the fuel pump. now it does not seem to want to pick up the fuel from the tank. Is there a way that I should have primed it? Thanks
there is no way to prime this type of filter.Did you use the correct rubber seal?Is the filter in backwards?Pour some fuel down the carb and this should get the pump to push fuel and make it run.
