not getting full power from motor

I put new gas in my boat, new plugs and it idles fine but when I step on the gas this motor is fighting to accelerate . Im running about a third of my power. this motot is a mercury 150. this skeeter boat use to really move, now its a dog,any ideas what could be wrong? carbs maybe. steve

Try pumping the bulb. If it picks up you probably have a small hole in the fuel pump diaphragm.

i just had this problem but i have an evinrude i tried evrything and it ended up being the powerpack if the carbs dont seem to fix the problem try the power pack

if i needed apower pack for my 1981 150 mercwhat do these packs cost? do i need one or two ? where is it at on a 81 150 merc. could a amature change thepower pack? steve
