Not priming. Volvo penta 5.0 gi

2015 Volvo penta GI. i Installed a fuel pump yesterday in my boat. When I turn the key to the start position it’s supposed to prime gas into the fuel pump. And it makes two beeps indicating that it’s priming. I have gotten the beeps but it’s not priming. I got it to prime once but that was it and I need to prime it about 6-10 times because it’s a new fuel pump. Any thought about why it wouldn’t be priming.

second, is fuel getting to the pump? or do you have a blockage or issue up-stream from the pump

The 2 beeps is the ECM powering up so the Main Power Relay (MPR) has energized. The fuel pump not turning ON means either the ECM is not applying a ground to the Fuel Pump Relay (FPR) or the fuse is blown.

Swap MPR with FPR and see if you still get the 2 beeps. If you get the beeps check the fuse
