Number on top of foot

I just purchased a 115hp 2 stroke 1995 Mariner M/N MAR115ELPTO. There is a 14 on the top of the foot looking down on it from straight behind the motor. I'm trying to pick a prop from scratch for it and wondering if the number will help. The prop drive actually has 15 spines on it so I thought this number may be for prop diameter? Any help is appreciated.

NotSURE ABOUT THAT NUMBER BUT WHAT PROP WAS ON MOTOR WHEN you bought it. or did it not have one ?? some one may be of further assistance if you post was type of boat size (lenght/ weight ans purpose of use . fishing skiing tubine.)even pict of both :facepalm:


at least you know you will need a 15 spline prop, but there are many sizes and pitches
