It's a soap for men. I've been watching it from day one, and from the get go Sr. seemed like like a good guy to work for. Sure every once in a while he'd fly off the handle, but Jr would give a reason to. But lately Sr. just seems to want to be a d!*khead. I use to work for a boss that I though was very insulting, on a daily basis. He would say things like,
"Hey **** head what are you working today." Don't get me wrong It didn't hurt my feelings.
It just appears that Sr. want's all the respect in the world but can't give it back, unless it gets put into the show. He puts on a good front but, I think the fame has gotten to him.
And if you work for O.C.C you must sign a contract of a one year no com-peat clause.
So as of now Jr. has a lawsuit from his last build. Witch stems from Joe, a former employee of O.C.C. I don't know if everyone knows this but when Vinnie left he started a bike shop called V-Force Google it. So if Vinnie don't have a lawsuit on him why does Jr.
Can you say double standard. SR.

The deal with the 2nd law suit is with a non compete clause in the OCC workers contract. If it's like SR said, if that clause in in there, then he can't work for JR. But I think he's suing the wrong person.. I'm no lawyer, but if an employee has a non compete and goes to work for a direct competitor, it's not the competitors fault. It would be the employers fault. Unless the other company knows about the clause. In which JR may have knew about these clauses because he had to wait a year before opening a bike shop... So maybe the lawsuit does have merit.... Interesting..... But you bring up Vinnie. How does that work..

I agree for the most part. A whole lot of moolah flowed through that place, and we've all heard stories about what the almighty dollar can do to families.

They all have issues!
A lot of companies have that clause, most don't exercise it.
I thought the law suit was mainly for the 20% of Jr's share of the company.

I think a lot of it is:
TV or controversy
Those kids are spoiled rotten

Lee has a shop down on the coast of NC.
Mikey has been 'seen, consulting' down at Knuckle Heads on the coast too. No law suit there either.
They lost some of their best talent with them two guys, not sure who's 'behind the scene'.

Besides, most of the bikes they build now are just 'some body's' tank, 'some body's' frame, 'some body's' engine..fenders, 'some body's' paint job with their handle bars, exhaust and some cool in-shop 'effects'.
They're more of a production/custom shop than a custom/production shop!

Got to hand it to the old man, he made this all happen!
His other son (3rd is the owner of the original business...a welding/fab shop.

I agree with anything but custom. there are some very great bike shops out there. Hell Rick Petco is one of the best bike builders out there, at this point in time if I were to have a bike built. I would have it built by, Rick Petco.............

I am on Junior's side, Sr. has alienated all of his sons apparently, even the oldest one who never was more then a cameo on the show doesn't talk to him unless he has to, and has built the steel business he got from senior into a very steady business. I agree that Juniors work ethic was enough to get him fired from most jobs but as far as an artist you have to admit he has some incredible ideas. I also agree 100% with woody Rick is amazing with steel, I wish he had his own show! His ability to take someone elses idea and make it from steel blows me away.

I honestly think senior has lost his mind, but when you have Junior and Mikey as your kids I bet it was a very short trip...

I write them both off as arrogant jerks, tho I admit a bit of a soft spot for Sr. and the business he'd built. But without Rick and Vinnie, neither of them have the skills to build much more than a tricycle. I've often been bothered by the parts shelf "build" that they engage in, I'm not impressed in much of what they do create unless it's Rick or Vinnie doing it, and now they're both gone. There's No engineering of frames, suspensions, motors, little input to paint which is left to a very talented individual named Nub, so I really question what it is that's so special about their bikes as far as Sr. and Jr.'s imput. Vinnie and Rick make handlebars, tanks and fenders. Big deal.
I see both Jr. and Sr. as non participants in an at best "cut and paste" motorcycle manufacturing effort. Glad I don't ride crap like that.

I really loved this back in the day but the drama between Sr and Jr makes me give it a miss. They both need to refocus on their craft at making custom bikes.

I tried watching it once a few years ago. Lasted about 10 mins.
Cocky, arrogant, self-important A-holes.
I don't even like the bikes....every one has basically the same look. Laid out so your bent over to reach the handlebars. Big ol goofy effects.
And people actually buy them...I just don't get it.

We watched it 1-2 seasons then it got too dramatic. The new series, is a joke, like watching a couple ol' ladies go at it.

Took me reading quite a way down this thread to realise what OCC actually was. Shows how much interest I have in it.
My guess is the entire thing is as staged and faked as Operation Repo !!!
