O/D Drain

Just started draining the gear lube from my outdrive and it seems to be coming out slower than usual......
I removed the lower screw first, watched the lube start draining then removed the vent screw.
After I removed the vent screw the flow didn't change much if any. I checked for blockage at the drain screw and found none.

The O/D is stored in my unheated basement but it's at least 50* down there.

Am I worried over nothing?

Happy Thanksgiving!!

the gear lube is thick or should I say sticky, I changed mine out his summer, 80+ in the sun and it took a while to drain out too!

I just sprayed a little brake cleaner in the vent hole and it came right out the drain so I think I'm OK......

so I think I'm OK
i think so too. my drives in the basement too. it's not 50* but maybe 60-65*. every year when i drain it, the gear lub comes out slow. slow enough that i've learned to just let it sit for a day then go about my next task.
