Lower Unit laying on it's side. As I was removing screws from the impeller cup, a broken, small diameter, thin rubber o-ring dropped to the floor. Could have come from anywhere above or below the cup. None of the places I examined seemed like a good suspect area. ALSO could have been an old ring I had on my workbench. Anyone know if there is supposed to be an o-ring in that area or does anyone have an exploded view they could share on the forum or by PM? Also looking for the correct spark plug and gap. Thanks.

This place has the largest stocking parts, for old motors.
You could check there web site to maybe find an exploded view, or just call them, they will help you.

Thanks for the welcome and information! I'm completely new at boat motors. I've always considered myself to be at least mildly mechanical, but outboards, even older ones, can seem pretty puzzling and nit-picky. I've made the primary contacts with your suggestions and will report any response so that it may help some other newbie out of his depth.....like me!
