o ring under impeller

hello every body, I have a question about the o ring under the impeller when you push it down the drive shaft the manuel says to lube it with triple guard grease I have done this every water pump change but due to some issues here at home I had to leave the water pump assembly till a later time , what has happened I forgot to lube the o ring and didn't think of it till I had it put back together will this cause a issue wearing out right away. thank you.

The O-Ring doesn't wear out, it can be cut when installing it with no lube.

But I'm guessing since I have no idea what motor this alleged impeller O-ring fits. LOL

its a 98 evenrude 115 intruder kind of worried I always put grease on it but got distracted today and plain forgot .

Have it in the lake or a barrel before you start it and you should have no probs. The water will lube it.
