o2 sensor, should I add one

Has anyone ever installed an o2 sensor in an older boat that doesn't need/use one? Just thinking about doing it, the only reason would be to monitor fuel/air mixture. I understand it would have to be in the manifold riser and a bung would have to be installed to keep it in the exhaust and out of the water. Just curious

How do you plan on getting it to talk to the ECM?

I'm not planning on it talking to ecm, just a stand alone tool to monitor fuel/air mixture

Ayuh,.... If yer tunin' for elevation variations Alot, I guess I could see it....

otherwise, it'd be another not so useful gauge...
almost as important as a vacuum gauge, or trim gauge....

naw,,.. more important than either of those 2...
I s'pose ya might spot a cloggin' fuel filter aheada time....
