I am searching for an obsolete Volvo Penta fuel line. Specific part number is 3856970 (CAD drawing attached). This is the fuel pipe that runs between the fuel regulator and reservoir. My engine is a Volvo Penta (454) 7.4L GIPBYCCE. (V8 fuel injected). This engine is from a 1999 Regal 2800 LSR.

The previous boat owner replaced this line with an automotive grade fuel line - trying to bring the boat back up to snuff.

If I can't track down this part, any advice or pointers on having one fabricated? I have checked with a few local hydraulic shops, and the challenge is the flare fitting that was used on this particular line. Its my understanding this same flare fitting was used on a 1992 Chevy V8 engine.

the same SAE flare is used on 3/8" brake lines. go to napa and buy a section of 3/8" brake line and use that for a steel line.

correction, that is 5/16" tubing and 1/2" nuts vs 3/8" tubing and 5/8" nuts. still go to your local napa and buy a section of brake line your looking about a 15" or 18" brake line
