Ocean Runner Maintenance Question

I have a 96 200 Ocean Runner. I annually change the plugs, filters and decarbon it, the water pump was changed last season. It doesn't have an hour meter on it and I bought it used.

The question I have is there anything I'm overlooking as far as maintenance or being proactive goes? It runs fine other than it will stall once in a while when it's hot, but I can deal with that.

Thanks
Vic DiMenna

Re: Ocean Runner Maintenance Question

Have you been changing the lower unit lub and checking for water infiltration? If not, this should be an annual procedure -- more often if the boat sees high useage. Thermostat replacement every couple of years is another preventive maintenance measure.

I forgot to add that, yes I do change the lower unit lube as well. I have never changed the thermostats. I will do that before I drop it in this season.

Thanks

Mine as well check the poppet valve, grommet, and spring while your at it.

And just make sure all your fuel lines (external and internal) are in good shape, i.e., soft with no cracks.
