There is soo much information out there but I am curious if any iboaters have experience with ODBI / ODBII chip programmers and software.

I am not trying to spend a fortune, but I have a camshaft for my 2000 5.3l that will reuslt in some needed chip reprogramming.

I also have a 1995 350cid that I plan on upgrading headers, heads, exhaust and a few other things along the way so I would like the reader/programmer to be compatible with both. (Vortec head conversion with modified TBI since the bolt pattern for the intake on the vortec heads is different than my existing stock heads).

What am I looking at for programming software? Is there anything you guys would recommend? I have no technical limitations and my knowledge is as good as the research I put into it but some discretion would be awesome!

Anywho the main intention of this thread is to get some info on decent programmers and software.

to check out the 350 (boat puller ;) )I am overhauling here: Tahoe on 22

Sweet ride ! Without going into the mega-buck Snap-on type tools I am not aware of a combo OBDI/OBDII tool. All of the reasonable ones are either-or.
