Made for , or by Suzuki.

1979 I think, but not sure.

You may want to check around to see if parts are available for this motor. Especially things like waterpumps and ignition parts.

If they are not available, then the motor is not worth much.

Re: odd ball engine

Wasn't it kind of a joint venture with Suzuki and Arctic Cat? For some reason I remember AC being involved in that project... maybe that will broaden the scope of the search a bit?

- Scott

Thanks guys just another gamble. I'll have to hear it run and see it pump. I'll do a compression test on it then decide.

Yes, that motor was part of a joint venture between Arctic Enterprises and Suzuki. The old Arctic Enterprises went bankrupt in 1982 and was reborn as Arctic Cat Inc. in 1984. During that time (late 70's through early 80's), Suzuki engines were called Spirit Engines in Arctic Cat Snowmobiles and outboards sold through their dealer network.

To this day, Arctic Cat uses Suzuki as their snowmobile engine supplier.
