I am new to boating and have been gaining alot of good information on these forums. Great job to all who participate!! On to my question... I have a 1995 90HP 3 CYL Mariner attached to a 1989 Ebbtide Montego 170 (17'-0" bowrider). I have trouble starting her in my sloped driveway when the stern is at the high part of the slope. It usually will not start. On level ground, or if i turn the boat around so the bow is a the high end, she starts on the first crank. It took me a while to figure this out but it sure seems odd to me. Any thoughts?

Ayuh,...

I can only Guess that the carb floats are hung so that they work going level, or Uphill....
Boats usually run in those attitudes,+ rarely are ever going Downhill...

Thanks for the reply, Bond-O. I tought it might have something to do with the fuel. I guess I just didn't think it would be that sensitive. Although one thing I have learned in my few years of boat ownership is to always expect the unexpected!
