mercruiser 1997 OK153687 MPI 502 Magnum saltwater cooled, bravo I, Twin engines.
The guages are reading that both engines are running hot at about 190 but neither of them feel hot nor does my two temp guns read anywhere near 190 (they read about 130-160 I forget the exact reading). And I can put my hands on everything and keep them there without it feeling too hot. I have kept up with thermostats, raw water pumps, circ pumps, manifold and risers (just done this year), and I changed the sensors.
The gauges read the same thing even after all this and when I hook my own gauge directly to the engines it reads about 190. It seems to me like the engines are running at normal temp but for some reason the reading is off, there are no other symptoms. Any ideas?
