OEM/aftermarket hydraulic trim unit for a 1000?

Looks like there is a decent chance I'll be having a 69 Merc 1000 joining the stable later this week, wondering what my best solutions for adding a hydraulic trim unit might be. Finally coming up to speed on the Johnsons, now I get to learn all about Merc's. Looking fwd to it. Awesome looking motor, fell in love with the thing right away, but it is currently not running. Will be taking some tools down to do compression/spark testing later in the week, assuming fuel issue due to sitting for 2 years. More will be learned.

This may seem quite a foolish question - but would it be possible to use my current hydraulic trim unit on the 1990 60hp Johnson and somehow mount the Merc 1000 to the Johnny transom mount? No clue as to what the issues might be but I'm sure I'll be learning quickly
