OEM or aftermarket starter

I need to replace the starter on my 2007 Volvo penta 3.0 there is a big price difference between OEM and aftermarket. I'd go aftermarket however, are the cheaper starters Marine grade? - Replacing starters is a pain in the %^$#! I do not want to have to do it for a while. Do I bite the bullet and go OEM? Are there quality aftermarket units? Thnaks

I would get the current starter rebuilt.

I agree with captmello. Shops do it all the time. They should know by looking at it, but make sure to tell them it's a marine starter.
