Offset drive shaft in DF90: pros and cons

All,

Can anyone who owns a DF90 or a similar design engine report any issues arising from the offset drive shaft in DF90? The latter is one of my next choice engines, so trying to find all pros and cons about it before buying.

Sorry, never tried one. 6 year warranty sounds nice.
I wonder how long the timing chain will last ?
Great time to buy though.

actually bailysboat has tried an offset motor according to the F150 in his tag line.
the F150 yamaha has an offset crankshaft,which means the drive shaft is also offset and they work quite nicely.
