Use mfr's oil or good aftermarket, rated TCW-3 (Two Cycle Water-cooled). Mix with unleaded regular (non-alcohol if you can find it) fuel at a ratio of 50:1 (i.e., 16 oz oil in 6 gallons of gas).

Here's some good oil available at iBoats.com: http://www.iboats.com/Star-Brite-Sup...tic-Blend-Oil/ dm/*******.524907927--**********.022934093--view_id.886218

Any Wal-Mart should carry this stuff back in the Sporting Goods Dept: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Quicksilve...fl-oz/16565457

They usually also carry Penzoil brand, and their premium blends are pretty good stuff.

Be sure to use a marine-grade fuel stabilizer in every tank, your carburetors (and the rest of the fuel system) will appreciate it!

I use Wallyworld SuperTech TCW-III all the time. Never had an issue.

The problem with store brand oil is you don't know who it is made by it might be quicksilver, Penzoil, Johnson, or any other brand. It most likely was the cheapest oil Walmart could order that day with there brand name on it, two jugs of oil on the shelf next to each other that both say SuperTech my be different oil brands. But if its TCW-III rated its TCW-III rated.

I ran Pennzoil TC-W3 at about $4.50 per qt vs OEM at close to $8. Smoked very little and apparently the engine did fine on it. I use a lot of WW products which very well may come from Warren petroleum who packages products for half the USA. Don't have a problem. Never noticed their TCC-W3. I mainly use their house brand in both syn and dyno in my farm tractors.
