Could be that neither is wrong, vrodrig. Your Suzi may be "making oil" by adding gasoline to the crankcase.

Look in the Engine FAQs for info on 4 strokes "making oil".

Sorry, but I didnt mention that I did perform the oil change service, so I just pourd 5 qts in like the book says. The dipstick shows way over full. Whats up with that?

Did you use the Suzuki filter or some replacement you found?
How did you remove the oil and did you get it all out?

Yes I did drain all the motor oil out. I believe there is only one drain plug with the allen wrech type plug. This plug is located on the opposite side of the oil filter, port side. I havent run the engine yet untill i know for sure what the oil capacity is. No this is not a Suzuki oil filter. The old oil was pretty nasty and there is no dark oil discoration in the new oil.

my guess,is there was an ammount of sticky oil still in the engine,to which you added the complete fill ammount, never good to run an engine thats overfilled with oil,id drain a little out till your dipstick is accurate, then give it a short 5-10 gentle run,let cool then recheck.

I would make sure to use the correct filter for your motor and if you have not run the motor then the filter is still empty.

Well gents I have started the engine and run gently like customvs said, turned off the motor and let sit awhile so oil would drain down to oil sump, it was still a bit high so I removed about 3/4 of a quart and now it shows on the top dot of the dip stick. Total about 4 & 1/4 quart for total oil capacity compaired to 5 quoted from book (SELOC) still seems strange. I also realize the oil filter is not the original Suzuki filter but thats what the Suzuki crossed over to.
Boush 3311 14 psi back pressure valve this filter was a tad bit bigger but fit just fine in that space.

I think the oil filter is to small so it hold less oil, thats making the difference in the oil sump and the dip stick level read higher than normal. I'll go the dealer and order the original one. Maybe that will make a difference.
