Oil capasities for mercruiser moter and lower drive unit

Im searching for what type of oil i should use and the capasitiy for a 260hp mercruiser alpha1,also what type of lower unit lube oil i should use and the capasity also? and any suggestions for peforming this maintenence? Thanks

Go up to the Adults Only sticky at the top of the page and download the service manual for your engine and drive for whatever year it is. All that information is in them.
Generally speaking, the Alphas take a bit over a quart of gear lube and most engines take 5 quarts with a filter.

I have been trying to get to the adult only area to look at some literature on my mercruiser 140 and drive unit without any luck . Any suggestions?
