Oil change when winterizing?

Hi all,
I typically change both filters, the outdrive oil, and the engine oil each year when I winterize. This year, since my folks got a new boat, I have only had mine out a couple of times so it probably has about 5 hrs on it this summer, otherwise, it sits in a pole barn. Do I change the oil and filters this year?

Thanks!

EFI motor used 5 hours, nope. No acids or combustion remnants in that oil. I would get some stabilizer in the gas and obviously drain it of water. I'd run it either on muffs or in the water to get the stabilized gas up into the motor. If there's room in the tank put in the fuel treatment first, put in gas to mix the stabilizer, then run the motor a few minutes.

If you had a carburetor I'd have said to smell the oil to see if it seems to have fuel in it. Sometimes if the choke or mix isn't right it can happen pretty quick.

So 5 hours, in a car that is what 5-600 miles (at ave 3000 RPM)? If the oil is not real black you should be OK. IMHO. I would however drain out some of the outdrive oil to check for water.
